Stephen and I have learned that sleeping in does not exist with a baby, we get excited if Malia sleeps until 6:30. I never would have thought that waking up at 6:30 would be something I would look forward to. I may be annoyed at first but as soon as I go to get her out of her crib and she flashes her smile and her big blue eyes my way, I am excited to scoop her up and give her a kiss. On Saturday mornings when we need a few more minutes of sleep we bring her into our bed give her a bottle, rest and read the newspaper in bed. I snapped this picture of Stephen and Malia on one such Saturday catching some zzz's.

I am SOOO JEALOUS!! Sam will NEVER sleep in bed with us. Once he's up he's up for 2-3 hours and there's NOTHING that will get him to calm down enough to hang out in bed with us.
